  1. Hello Graham,
I’m endeavoring to write a book on the Battle of Solferino and the War. I’ve enjoyed looking at your site on the battle.
My work will be historical nonfiction. I’m still working on the finer points of my narrative. I’ve now read many of the published books and other related items to the war and battles. My current research is focused on the 3 Emperors and their biographies.
I would welcome your thoughts on lesser known, European research and work done on the War and the Battles in Lombardy.
Also, I’m finding it challenging to locate Soldiers’ diaries of the event. I’m reading Poplimont’s “Lettres Sur La Campagne” which is a great resource. I’d like to find the same for the Italians and the Austrians.
I welcome any thoughts and advice on valuable research ideas and sources.
    Regards

    1. Dear Pascal,

Thank you for visiting battlefieldanomalies website!
You will find all sources concerning Order of Battle details if you go to the footnotes of my Solferino article. There are several books quoting lists of all forces engaged in the battle.

      Regards
      Graham (battlefieldanomalies.com)
