Rittmeister Prince Friedrich von Hohenzollern-Siegmaringen – brother of King Carol I of Roumania. He and Werner were close friends in the Dragoon Guards and took part in the famous dragoon charge at Mars la Tour. After the war they travelled together to Egypt, Greece and Turkey.
