Rezonville – 16 June 1872With the Schleswig-Holsteinisches Husaren-Regiments Nr.16, the Brandenburgisches Husaren-Regiments Nr.3 composes the 15. Kavallerie-Brigade. Oberst von Zieten, commander of the Husaren-Regiments Nr.3 was seriously injured august the 16 and he died august the 24 in Gorze.

Incredible useful. I visited Mars last Tour in November 2024. Most of the German monuments are still there, untended. Very few French monuments. I guess that by the time France reclaimed Alsace-Lorraine they had more pressing issues than commemorating a lost war 50 years ago earlier.
